SMA Series

Cylindrical, Multi-pin, Metal, Threaded Coupling, for use in Benign and Harsh Environments, Power Connector.

Using a threaded interface, SMA 50 Ohm connectors are semi-precision units that provide excellent electrical performance from DC to 18 GHz and outstanding mechanical durability. SMA connectors feature stainless steel or brass construction and ¼ – 36 threaded coupling, which offers high performance in a compact design.

For phase array radar, test equipment, ILS landing systems and other instrumentation using phase matching techniques, SMA interconnects offer a precise and simple means of phase adjustment for microwave devices. Built in accordance with MIL-C-39012 and CECC 22110/111, SMA connectors can be mated with all connectors that meet these specification mating diameters regardless of manufacturing.

TNC Series

Cylindrical, Metal, Reverse Bayonet, Environmental & Rugged for Power and Signal Applications.

The TNC connector series is a miniature, threaded weatherproof series with a constant 50 Ω impedance and a frequency range of DC – 11 GHz.

TNC connectors are produced with standard and reverse polarity. Reverse polarity is a keying system accomplished with a reverse interface, and ensures that reverse polarity interface connectors do not mate with standard interface connectors. Amphenol accomplishes this by inserting female contacts into plugs and male contacts into jacks to ensure quality. Other manufacturers may use reverse threading to accomplish reverse polarity keying.

Because of their versatility and durability, TNC connectors are used in many applications.

Triax Series

Amphenol Triax connectors are used in applications where maximum RF shielding and minimum noise radiation is required. Triax are engineered for superior performance, and are built to the highest quality standards.

They are the perfect solution for harsh environments with high temperatures. They can also be tested and approved for use in the nuclear reactor chambers.

Twinax Series

Also known as Twin BNC, Twinax connectors are used with 78 Ohm and 95 Ohm conductor cables and operate from 0-200 MHz. Due to the improved shielding characteristic (>30dB), these connectors are used in balanced low level and high sensitivity circuits.

Twinax connectors feature keyway polarization to ensure system integrity and prevent signals from being mixed, making them ideal for computer network applications.
